According to Electronic Arts, in 2020 the world will have 2 billion game players. Why? Because of the growth of tablets, cellphones and smartphones. With them you don’t need a “game time” anymore but just take your device off your pocket and enjoy casual games. Comparing to 2000, when there were around 200 million gamers around the world, that’s a ten times increase. EA also believes that we’ll have 2 billion gamers from different ages playing some type of game in their consoles, computers or mobile devices.
