According to a survey conducted by CNBC’s All-America Economic, 51% of households in United States own an Apple product with an average of 1.6 devices per house. It means that more than 55 million homes have at least one iPhone, iPad, iPod or Mac. Another finging was that almost one-quarter of these people plans to buy another one next year. “It’s a fantastic business model — the more of our products you own, the more likely you are to buy more”, says Jay Campbell, Vice President of Hart Research Associates.
Besides that, the research shows that the more money you have the more you tend to own more Apple’s devices. Around 77% of people who earn at least $75.000 a year have a gadget while only 28% who earn $ 30.000 have one. The age gap isn’t that large too since 63% of Americans between 18 and 49 are Apple owners.
A curious fact is related to politics and the desirability of owning a product from the company: about 56 percent of the members of each party – Democrats and Republicans – have at least one Apple item. Interesting, right?
The poll was made with 836 Americans by landline and cellphone from March 19th to 22nd and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percent. Read the full article here.
